  4. The good, the bad, the ugly. Wireshark/Ethereal is probably the worst software ever written (besides IE). It counts 112 CVE entries and I finally give up hope that this software will ever improve. Why is it that hard to write a protocol analyzer?

  6. Geoff Huston provides a bunch of statistics on the Internet address spaces. There are up to date graphs of the IPv4 and IPv6 address blocks, BGP routing tables and autonomous system numbers. Aside of these statistics, the site provides estimations when we will run out of addresses, based upon projected growth rates.
